Heaven was missing an angel, and with her beauty and grace, she was called to the gates of Heaven. We lost our heart and our soul on August 19, 2004. She had a passion for life that some could only dream of, and had faith in herself, knowing she had every quality of being nothing short of amazing. For 2 years we have walked through life without our daughter, sister, and friend, but have had her in our hearts through every step of life. Her smile will constantly remain in our mind and hearts, giving us enough strength to carry on until we see her beautiful face one more time. Although she will never have the career of a CSI, she has the most important job of all, being our angel. Ashley gave her friends enough courage to better the world, and without her, our destiny never would have been as clear. Thank you Ashley for all that you have brought to the world, to my life, and all that you are bound to bring. As Kurt Cobain would say,
"It's better to burn out than to fade away."
Where did I go wrong?
I lost a friend, somewhere along in the bitterness
& I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life.
